Migrating to SharePoint without the headaches

A SharePoint migration is more than copying files. Permissions, file names, long folder paths, shared links and the way your team works all need planning, or you move the mess across with the data.

We are a Microsoft Partner, and we handle migrations from file servers and network drives, older SharePoint, and other cloud storage such as Dropbox or Google Drive. We clean up as we go, so you arrive in SharePoint Online with a structure that makes sense.

Microsoft ended support for SharePoint Server 2016 and 2019 on 14 July 2026, so any business still running them is now without security updates. If that is you, the sooner you plan your move the better. If you want help designing the new environment, see our SharePoint consulting service.

What we migrate

Common SharePoint migration projects we handle.

File servers and network drives

Shared folders move into SharePoint libraries and OneDrive, with permissions mapped to your team structure.

SharePoint Server 2016 and 2019

Support ended on 14 July 2026. We move your sites, libraries and content to SharePoint Online, or help you assess SharePoint Server Subscription Edition if you need to stay on-premises.

Dropbox, Google Drive and Box

We move content from other cloud storage into SharePoint and OneDrive, and tidy up sharing as we go.

Mergers and restructures

Consolidating sites and libraries, or moving content between Microsoft 365 tenants after a merger or rebrand.

Clean-up before the move

We find duplicates, old files and unsupported file names before migrating, so you only move what you need.

Permissions and security

We review who has access, remove stale access and apply sharing controls before and after the move.

Built to stay fast

Libraries and folders are structured to stay within SharePoint limits and keep performing as they grow.

Cutover and training

A planned switch-over and a short training session, so your team is comfortable from day one.

How a SharePoint migration works

A proven process that keeps your people working throughout.

01

Assess

We take stock of your files, sites and permissions, check for problem file names, paths and sizes, and decide what to leave behind.

02

Plan

We design the target structure, map permissions, agree the order of the move and choose a low-impact cutover time.

03

Migrate

We run a trial migration, then the full move, and keep the source and destination in step until you sign off.

04

Verify and support

We check the results, sort out access issues, train your team and keep supporting you after go-live.

Why businesses choose us for SharePoint migrations

We make migrations boring, which is exactly what you want.

Security first

We review permissions and sharing before, during and after the move so nothing sensitive ends up exposed.

Minimal disruption

We schedule moves around your business, so your team keeps working while we migrate.

Microsoft Partner

Being a Microsoft Partner gives us access to Microsoft partner support and technical resources when your project needs them.

Support after go-live

When your team has questions in the weeks after the move, our help desk is there.

SharePoint migration questions

Straight answers to the questions we hear most.

How long does a SharePoint migration take?

It depends on how much data you have, how it is structured and how much clean-up is needed. Smaller moves can be done in days. Larger or more complex ones run in stages over several weeks. After the assessment we give you a clear timeline.

Will we lose any data or permissions?

We plan the move so you do not. We check file names, paths and sizes first, run a trial migration and compare the source and destination before you switch over. Permissions are mapped deliberately, not copied blindly.

Are there limits on what SharePoint Online can hold?

Yes. SharePoint Online has limits on file size (up to 250 GB per file), on the total length of a file path (400 characters) and on certain characters in file names. We check for these before the move and fix them so nothing fails halfway.

Can you migrate from Google Drive or Dropbox?

Yes. We move files from Google Drive, Dropbox and Box into SharePoint and OneDrive, and bring across folder structure and sharing where it makes sense. Items such as Google Docs convert to Microsoft formats during the move, and we explain what to expect before we start.

Our SharePoint Server 2016 or 2019 is out of support. What should we do?

Microsoft ended support for both on 14 July 2026, so they no longer receive security updates. Most businesses move to SharePoint Online. Some choose SharePoint Server Subscription Edition if they must stay on-premises. We assess your environment, customisations and content, then recommend the right path.

Do we need to buy anything extra?

SharePoint Online is included with most Microsoft 365 business and enterprise plans. We check your licences before the project and tell you if anything is needed. Some large or complex migrations benefit from specialist migration tools, and we include that in the plan.

Will our team need training?

A short session helps. We show your team where files live now, how to sync libraries, how to share safely and how to find things fast.
