What nbn speed do I need?
A few people browsing, emailing and streaming can be well served by a 50 Mbps plan. Homes and offices with many devices, video calls and cloud apps usually suit 100 Mbps or faster. Larger teams, heavy file transfers and cloud backups suit 500 Mbps and above where it is available. Tell us how you use the internet and we will recommend a plan.
What are typical evening speeds?
Typical evening speeds show what you can expect during the busy evening period. They are lower than a plan's maximum speed, and we show them on every plan so you know what to expect.
What is the free fibre upgrade?
Where your address is eligible, nbn offers an upgrade to fibre to the premises. If your address qualifies, the tool shows the offer and the fibre plans you can choose. A minimum 12 month commitment with nbn applies.
My address was not found, or the technology looks wrong. What now?
