Still running Windows 10?

Windows 10 PCs that don't get security updates are an easy target. We'll check your devices and plan the move with you.

Windows 10 reached end of support, so it no longer receives regular security updates, fixes or technical help from Microsoft.

Extended Security Updates

Five habits that keep your devices safe

ASD's advice for businesses and individuals: these basics can prevent the majority of the cyber incidents reported to it.

01

Use phishing-resistant MFA

Turn on multi-factor authentication wherever you can, preferably with passkeys.

02

Strong, unique passphrases

Use a reputable password manager so every account has its own.

03

Keep software updated

Install updates promptly, and replace devices that no longer receive them.

04

Watch for phishing and scams

Think before you click, and report anything suspicious.

05

Back up your files

Regular backups mean a failed drive or infection doesn't cost you your data.

Device repair FAQs

How long will my repair take?

It depends on the fault, but because we hold an extensive stock of common parts such as hard drives and graphics cards, we usually don't need to order them, which gets your device back sooner.

Can you recover data from a failing drive?

Data recovery is one of our services. If a drive is failing, stop using it and call us, as continued use can make recovery harder. We can't guarantee recovery in every case, but we'll do everything we can.

Do you repair Macs and Linux machines?

Yes. Our team is proficient with Windows, Mac OS and Linux systems.

My computer is slow. Can you fix it?

Usually, yes. Slowness can come from malware, failing hardware, too little memory or software problems. We diagnose the cause, then optimise, clean up or upgrade to suit.

Do you do on-site repairs?

Yes. We offer flexible remote or on-site assistance, depending on the problem and where you are.

What should I do about Windows 10?

Windows 10 reached end of support on 14 October 2025. If your PC can run Windows 11, we can upgrade it. If not, we can recommend a replacement, or look at paid Extended Security Updates as a temporary bridge.
