DEVICE REPAIR
Virus and Malware Removal for Business and Home Computers
Slow computer, strange pop-ups or locked files? Our virus removal service finds and removes viruses, ransomware and other malware, repairs the damage and closes the gap that let it in.
Fast, careful virus removal and malware cleanup
Viruses and malware range from annoying adware to ransomware that locks your files. The right virus removal depends on what you are dealing with, and a quick scan is rarely enough on its own.
We isolate the affected device, identify the infection, remove it and check whether passwords, accounts or other devices have been exposed. If data has been stolen or locked, we move to incident response.
Then we fix the cause, whether that is missing updates, weak passwords, risky software or a bad link, and put protection in place so it does not happen again.

Virus and malware questions
What to do and what to avoid.
What are the signs of malware?
Common signs include a sudden slowdown, unexpected pop-ups, programs you did not install, files that will not open, browser changes and antivirus switching itself off.
Should I turn the computer off?
Disconnect it from the network and Wi-Fi, but do not wipe or reinstall it before calling us. We may need it to work out what happened.
Can you recover files locked by ransomware?
Our best option is restoring from a clean backup. We never recommend paying a ransom, and we will explain every option before you decide.
Will I lose my files?
Not usually. We aim to clean the device and keep your data. If a rebuild is the safest option, we restore your files from backup.
How do I prevent it happening again?
Keep devices patched, use multi-factor authentication, run managed endpoint protection and train your staff. We can set all of this up. The Australian Cyber Security Centre also has free guides on staying safe online.
