Microsoft Teams Calling for Australian Businesses

Make and receive business calls from Teams. We connect Microsoft Teams to the phone network with Direct Routing, so your team can use one app for chat, meetings and calls.

Teams as your business phone

Teams Phone turns Microsoft Teams into a full business phone system. In Australia, Teams connects to the public phone network through a carrier using Operator Connect or Direct Routing.

We provide Teams Direct Routing as part of tsit.cloud, so you can keep your numbers and choose how staff use it: Teams only, or Teams alongside desk phones.

Telstra Calling for Office 365 is being withdrawn on 30 November 2026. If you use it, we can move your numbers and calling without rebuilding your Teams setup.

Teams calling questions

What to know before you switch.

What do I need for Teams calling?

Each calling user needs a Teams Phone licence, a phone number and a connection to the phone network. We confirm what you need and handle the setup.

Which Microsoft licence includes Teams Phone?

Teams Phone is included in Microsoft 365 E5 and available as an add-on to other eligible plans. We will recommend the right option for each user.

What is Direct Routing?

Direct Routing connects Teams to the phone network through a certified provider, so you can make and receive normal calls from Teams using your own numbers.

Can I keep my existing numbers?

In most cases, yes. We handle the porting and plan the cutover to avoid downtime.

Is Telstra Calling for Office 365 really ending?

Yes. Telstra has said it will withdraw Telstra Calling for Office 365 on 30 November 2026.
